Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of fidamont.com. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
This website is published by Fidamont Inc. ("Fidamont", "we", "us"), a regulatory and compliance advisory firm based in Austin, Texas.
2. We are not a law firm
Fidamont is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, or accounting advice.
Everything here, including articles, guides, videos, and the newsletter, is general information about regulatory requirements. It may not reflect the most recent changes in the law, and it does not take your circumstances into account. Do not act on it without advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation.
3. No client relationship
Using this site, sending us a message, or subscribing to the newsletter does not make you a client. A client relationship begins only when you and Fidamont sign a written engagement agreement.
Communications with us are generally not protected by attorney-client privilege. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the site.
4. No guaranteed outcomes
Licensing, registration, and banking decisions are made by regulators and financial institutions. Nothing on this site is a promise or prediction of any outcome.
5. Using the site
You may use the site for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- interfere with the site or try to access it in a way we have not made available;
- introduce malicious code, or collect content or data from the site by automated means in a way that burdens it;
- misrepresent who you are or who you act for; or
- use the site to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
6. Our content
The site and its content belong to Fidamont Inc. or its licensors.
You may read the content, share links to it, and print copies for your own internal business use. You may not republish, sell, or adapt it without our written permission.
7. Links to other sites
We may link to websites we do not control. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for those sites.
8. Disclaimer
The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limit on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Fidamont is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the site is limited to US$100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Work we do for clients is governed by the engagement agreement for that work, not by these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about these terms or the site will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights are unaffected.
11. Changes
We may change the site or these terms at any time. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. General
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and Fidamont about your use of the site.
